Jazz Soup sessions at Lydia’s Café

Posted

Lydia’s Café’s Jazz Soup has tasty jazz and soups, 7-10 p.m. Saturdays, at the café, 7 Old US Route 209, Stone Ridge. The musical format is mainly jazz, with an occasional Latin, R&B or dance band thrown in to keep everyone confused. The next Jazz Soup sessions are on Oct. 5 with Spin Cycle with Tom Christensen on saxophone; Pete McCann, guitar; Phil Palombi, bass; and Scott Neumann, drums; and on Oct. 12 with the Regusis/Horton Quartet with Tim Regusis on piano; Ron Horton, trumpet and flugelhorn; Jay Anderson, bass; and Ron Vincent, drums. In the kitchen, there will be two soups (one of which is the signature seafood gumbo), a build your own salad, homemade desserts, and an occasional surprise, all on a self-serve basis. On display is the “Jazz Greats” artwork by Victor Kalin. No reservations, no cover. A suggested donation of $20. Visit lydias-café.com or call 845-687-6373.
