Lifebridge Foundation presents ‘Eclectic Harmony’ by Maria and Lisa Kaiser

Posted

Mother and daughter Maria and Lisa Kaiser have produced many art shows but have never done a show together. They are ardent environmentalists and conservationists, interests that are reflected in their work. The meet-the-artists wine and cheese reception for their “Eclectic Harmony” exhibit will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Lifebridge Sanctuary, 333 Mountain Road, Rosendale. Maria has been drawing, painting, crafting and photographing her entire life. After retirement, she took two trips to Greenland, Baffin Bay and the Northwest Passage and was visually and emotionally overwhelmed by the magnificence of these northern landscapes and the extraordinary beauty of floating icebergs etched against the dark coast. Lisa’s work is primarily an effort to combine her fascination with form as it expresses the mysterious emotional power of light as color. Between them, they have produced numerous shows in the Netherlands, France, Vermont, Ohio, Colorado and New York City, to name a few.
