Local News from Marbletown, Rochester, & Rosendale
The Muse, 1 Madeline Lane, Rosendale is excited to feature Reggie Harris and Pat Wictor for a live concert video recording, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.
Harris and Wictor have melded a common spirit and vocabulary from folk traditions of gospel and protest music, sharpened through the poetic sensibility of singer-songwriters. Together, they form a duo of jubilant harmony and instrumental expertise, blending both originals and songs by other artists into a musical conversation with audiences. Harris’ music shares insightful perspectives on issues of life, history, education and human rights. In the spirit of his mentors, Pete Seeger and Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon, (founder of Sweet Honey in the Rock), he iis a master song leader who loves to help people discover that they can make a difference at any age, wherever they may live. Wictor is an American blues and folk musician, guitarist, singer-songwriter, and recording artist.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $25 plus a $2.27 registration fee and are available at https://events.humanitix.com/reggie-harris-pat-wictor. For more information, visit themuserosendale.org.
