Local News from Marbletown, Rochester, & Rosendale
New members, men and women of all ages, are wanted and encouraged to join the Rondout Valley Lions Club, serving the towns of Marbletown, Rochester, Rosendale and Wawarsing since Oct. 18, 1950. During this time, they have helped those in need, whether it is for sight, hearing, or any worthwhile cause. “We serve” is their motto, and this is what they do. The Lions meet twice a month, at 5 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month (Oct. 14), at the Soyuzivka Heritage Center, 216 Foordmore Road, Kerhonkson; and for lunch at noon followed by the meeting at 12:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday, (Oct. 28), at Saunderskill Farms, 5100 Route 209, Accord. To join the Lions Club, call Janet Sutter at 845-687-0329 and visit them on Facebook.
