The Rosendale Recreation Commission presents a talk on permaculture gardening, 10 a.m. Sunday, May 5, at the Rosendale Community Center Pavilion, 1055 Route 32, Rosendale.

From container gardens to small farms, learn to grow food, medicine, pollinator support and songbird habitat for fun and enrichment. Improve site conditions over time while increasing productivity and usefulness. This informal talk about permaculture principles and gardening techniques will allow plenty of time for questions. The talk will be given by Claudia Joseph, Director of the New York Permaculture Exchange. Joseph taught the Permaculture Design Certificate course at the New York Open Center and other locations; and gardening fundamentals, organic gardening, and compost, the key to urban farming for the New York Botanical Garden. She is certified in teaching and design by the Permaculture Institute of North America and the Permaculture Institute, Inc.
